Fire

Fire safety is one of the most certificated and heavily regulated areas in which we operate. This makes accurate training essential. We train from scratch or refresh previous learning on the following topics:

Fire awareness 
Risk assessment principles
Fire marshal/warden 
Risk assessment in flats and HMOs
Alarm investigation
Fire doors and fire walls
Practical use of fire extinguishers

Health and Safety

Our H&S training is focused on the practical more than the theoretical, equipping your staff with the knowledge they need to perform duties required by law and by your insurance. We train to full certification (where relevant) in the following areas:

Manual Handling
Health and Safety in the Workplace (levels 1, 2 and 3)
Food Safety (levels 1, 2 and 3)
Level 2 H&S in Health and Social Care
Level 2 Risk assessment 
Principles Level 2 COSHH in the Workplace

Environment

Being an environmentally conscious employer is a factor of increasing importance across industry sectors, in attracting talent to your company. This is a benefit to you that stands apart from the legal and moral obligations you should feel towards our environmental legacy. We train your people in all aspects of environmental care, made relevant to your business. We have a particular specialty in the selection and use of spill control equipment and environmental disaster and clean-up.

Event security and stewarding is becoming a highly specialised area, incorporating elements of:

First Aid and general crowd management.

We have experts at Intrinsic who have controlled the London Marathon, open air concerts and festivals, the London and Sochi Olympic Games and many smaller events worldwide. Our training starts with those personnel on the ground right up to those in charge of the whole operation.  Every person involved with the production is important to the implementation and safety of the event.

Fire, Health and Safety, First Aid, Environment and Event training is not an exhaustive list, nor is it usual for us
to deliver training in one area without consideration for the others.

All our training courses are tailored to suit your particular industry or application but we are very happy to create a bespoke training course covering the subject of your choice. A good example of this is courses we have designed for Oxford University Colleges – ‘Fire Safety For Scouts’ and ‘Fire Safety For Freshers’ – where site specific and risk specific information was required to be imparted in an engaging and interesting manner.

Certificates are available for all delegates and verbal or written tests can be carried out if desired.
