What the law says:The Responsible Person for every business with five or more employees is required to carry out a written fire risk assessment and manage the risks from fire in their premises. They are also required to ensure there are adequate fire policies and procedures in the event of fire and that all staff have been given appropriate training. This is stated within the law as Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 – the ‘RRO’.
